In other editions of Microsoft Office when you opened an application it would open up a new blank document rather than the Start screen that now opens. You can this so it looks more like the older editions when opening up Microsoft Office programs. Simply click the File tab and then Options. Under the General Tab un-check the box next to “Show the start screen when this application starts.” You will have to do these steps in each Office program, as the setting are unique to each program.
